The basics of blush.
Over the past year I’ve come to really appreciate and enjoy my super fair skin tone, which is definitely saying something as I used to be obsessed with being tan. I’ve been making quite an effort in terms of my daily skin care routine and so I have no complaints regarding the texture, but living in South Africa and going through a super cold Winter has taken me to a whole new level of pasty – anyone in the Southern hemisphere with me on this? To achieve a little natural colour in my cheeks I’ve begun using two products which ensure my skin never looks dull whilst maintaining the english-rose vibe.
My Go-To Products
Clinique Cheek Pop in Peach Pop
Ok so firstly, I’m a complete sucker for this products beautiful packaging, it’s so pretty! Peach pop gives a very natural blush to the cheeks and is pretty perfect for dull Winter skin as it has quite a shimmer to it, creating a finish which isn’t flat or matte. To be honest, it’s quite an effortless product and has become the thing I reach for first whenever I need a little colour to my face. Definitely my number one for a fresh product which takes my complexion to the next level.
When I first used this product I was so surprised at the richness of the colour, to me it almost feels like a peachy take on a bronzer, and is literally perfect for creating a bit of depth whilst warming up pale skin. It has an incredibly silky texture and glides on seamlessly. Rather than giving your cheeks a fresh pop of colour like the Cheek Pop, it makes them glow, and that is something I’m seriously into during Winter. Also, I really like the brush it comes with and haven’t swapped it out for one of my own.
