Hello darlings! Things have been a little quiet around here lately (mostly due to having my laptop sent away for over a week now for repairs), and so I thought I’d update you on what’s going on in my life these days:
WEARING: As you may have noticed, I’ve started wearing a lot of neutral and denim, and a lot less print. I guess that’s the nature of personal style, it’s constantly changing. I’m particularly feeling basics with fun touches like hardware and straps, and interesting denim. I’ll always be a bohemian at heart and no doubt I’ll be wearing florals tomorrow, but I’m feeling good about toning things down a bit for a while.
PLAYING: Guys, I downloaded Pokemon Go and I fucking love it.
DOING: The past few weeks have mostly comprised of finding a new apartment, entertaining my mum who visited for a week, planning an exciting side project (eek!), and having my laptop die on me.
LOVING: I’m currently involved in a beautiful #DifferenceMaker campaign with Clinique, which you may have already noticed if you follow me on my Instagram. If you’re wondering what it’s about, essentially Clinique believes that everyone has the ability to make a difference, and one small act is all it takes. The campaign as a whole aims to enable women and encourage them to be their best selves, and anything that does that is something I want to be involved in. Doing my part for this campaign involves encouraging confidence and creativity by donating books & clothing, but getting involved could be as simple as being more compassionate to those around you!
READING: Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was definitely the best thing to happen to me in July! I’ve been dreaming of another book in the series for years now, and even though it took me a little while to get into the new play format it was everything and more.
BUYING: My favourite purchase for the month HAS to be a pair of fluffy sandals in multiple colours, you’ll be seeing them very soon I’m sure. Oh and a ridiculous pair of pink Miu Miu sunglasses that are probably the best thing that’s ever happened to my face.
TESTING: A new hair colour and a shorter cut. I adore my new hair shade and reckon it’s here to stay – all thanks to the absolute dream that is my hairstylist, Salome at Scar. For anyone in Cape Town looking for a brilliant colourist, I couldn’t recommend her enough!
